Run Your First Scan and Handle Results

Short answer: Open Trojan Scanner → tap Start → follow actions on the results screen.

Steps

  1. Open the app and tap Start.

  2. If prompted, Allow files access so downloads and storage can be scanned.

  3. Wait for the progress bar to finish.

  4. On the results screen, choose for each item: Remove, Quarantine, or Ignore (avoid Ignore unless you are sure).

What the actions do

  • Remove: Deletes the file/app. Best for confirmed threats.

  • Quarantine: Isolates so it cannot run. You can review/restore later.

  • Ignore: Leaves it as is. Not recommended.

If nothing is found but the phone acts weird

  • Update the threats list → run a Deep scan (Settings → Scan type).

  • Review recently installed apps and browser extensions.

Related settings
  • Scan type: Quick (daily) / Deep (weekly).

  • Quarantine: Remove files after: Auto-clean old items.

  • Keep reports: Choose how long reports are stored.

Before the first scan

  • Update the application's threat list while the device has a stable connection.
  • Connect the device to power if a deep scan may take a while.
  • Close open downloads and installers so files are not changing during inspection.
  • Use a deep scan when symptoms persist or an earlier quick scan found a threat.

Verify the result

Restart the device if the application requests it, update once more, and run a second scan. Confirm that unwanted pop-ups, redirects, or unfamiliar applications no longer return. Keep uncertain files in quarantine long enough to verify that required apps still work. If you recognize a trusted file and believe it was detected incorrectly, do not ignore an entire folder; use the false-positive guide and submit the exact file for review.
