What permissions we ask for (and why)

  • Files & media — lets Trojan Scanner scan downloads and folders for malicious items.
Android permission prompt asking to allow Trojan Scanner access to files (Allow or Deny).

  • Notifications (optional) — to alert you when a scan finishes or a threat is found.

You can change these anytime in Settings → Apps → Trojan Scanner → Permissions.

Keep it up to date

In Google Play → Trojan Scanner, tap Enable auto-update so you always have the latest fixes and threat definitions.

If install doesn’t start

  • Stuck on “Pending” — pause other Play downloads, check storage space, and try again.

  • Can’t find the app — confirm you’re using a standard Google account and you’re online.

  • Play Protect warning — make sure the publisher is Gridinsoft and you’re on Google Play.

Next steps

  • Review Settings to choose scan type, auto-updates, and how long to keep reports.
