On laptops, keep the device plugged in to avoid throttling. If performance still dips, run scans when you’re away from the keyboard.
Will scans slow down my PC?
Scans use CPU and disk I/O, so you may notice slower performance—especially during a Full scan. To minimize impact, run Quick scans during the day and schedule Full scans for off-hours. You can also pause heavy tasks while scanning, use Custom scan to target only needed folders/drives, and exclude large, trusted archives or backups.
