How do I make Gridinsoft Anti-Malware start automatically with Windows?

Gridinsoft Anti-Malware starts with Windows when a feature that needs background protection is enabled. In the current interface, the relevant controls are the startup scan and the active protection modules.

Enable automatic startup

1. Open Settings → General.
2. Enable the system startup scan if you want the app to check critical areas when Windows starts.
3. Open Protect and keep at least one required real-time module enabled:

• Internet Security for malicious-site and download filtering.
• Suspicious Activity Shield, formerly called On-Run Protection, for behavioral monitoring.
• USB Device Control, formerly called Removable Device protection, for connected storage.

With an active protection feature enabled, the app can load its background components automatically at sign-in.

If Gridinsoft still does not start

1. Open Windows Task Manager → Startup apps and confirm that Gridinsoft Anti-Malware is enabled.
2. Check that the license is active and the Threat List is current.
3. Restart Windows after changing a protection module.
4. Check whether another security product or a company policy is blocking the Gridinsoft startup entry or service.
5. If the entry is missing, repair the installation by running the current official installer as an administrator.

Should I disable startup?

Disabling automatic startup can prevent real-time modules from protecting the PC before you open the app manually. If you only use Gridinsoft for occasional on-demand scans, you can turn off the startup scan and background modules, but Windows will then rely on your other active security controls.
