Download and install Web Protection for Android

Web Protection requires Android 10 or later and an internet connection. Choose one of the two official installation sources below. The website APK and Google Play app have separate update and payment flows.

Install from Google Play

  1. Open the Gridinsoft Web Protection listing.
  2. Check that the developer is Gridinsoft, then tap Install.
  3. Open the app. Use the trial option offered by your version, or sign in to existing Web Protection access.
  4. Continue with turning on protection. Installation alone does not enable filtering.

Install the official website APK

  1. On your Android device, open the official Web Protection page and follow its Android download link.
  2. Open the downloaded APK. If Android asks, temporarily allow your browser or file manager to install apps from this source. The setting's name varies by phone.
  3. Review the Android installation prompt, install the app, and open it.
  4. Start the trial or sign in to existing access. You can turn off that browser's installation permission afterward.

Keep Android's security checks enabled. If an official package cannot be installed, record the exact error and contact Support rather than bypassing a warning.

Keep your installation source consistent

Use Google Play to update a Play installation and the app's website updater for a website installation. Do not assume you can install both side by side or replace one with the other: Android checks package versions and signing identities. If switching sources produces an installation conflict, preserve your access first and ask Support for help. Uninstalling can remove unsaved guest access.

Check the version at the bottom of Settings. If an older build shows Setup instead of the guest trial button, update through its original source or use its existing-account sign-in flow.
